Amazing Grace Bible Church MISSIONS UPDATE:
Here are the missions efforts that we support on a monthly financial basis. Please take a minute to pray for them and if you are interested in more information, such as addresses or phone numbers, the missions committee (see Rhonda Knott) will be happy to try to help you. Our missionaries need our support. Please consider how you might encourage them.
1. Michael and Erika Philip- we are the sending church to this family currently serving in Miami. They are beginning their work there after having been in Uganda, Africa prior to this assignment.
2. Crisis Pregnancy Center- this is a local effort to save babies from abortion. Our own Don Gilmour has been a vital part of bringing this center into existence and nurturing its growth.
3. The Jesus Film Project- this is a part of Campus Crusade which translates the gospel into the native language of many countries that have never heard the message. Film teams then show the film on huge screens to the people and they have amazing results for Christ.
4. Meredith McAlister this is Heather Gilmour's sister who is working in Peru. Her updates show us that she is fulfilling a great need in Peru and ministering to many young people there.
5. CY Kim- this is a wonderful man that the Gilmour's are friends with, who works in parts of Asia bolding sharing Christ in many creative ways.
6. Hopeful Hearts- this is a group that ministers to orphans in Ukraine providing the gospel message along with supplying many basic needs. Their work includes providing nourishment, clothing, medical supplies, and educational resources to children forgotten by the world.
7. The Allan family- this family also ministers in southern Ukraine. They have moved their family, with 4 young children, to live there indefinitely. They work with a local church and reach out to families teaching them to be loving parents and teaching them about having a real relationship with Christ.
8. Nancy Bartolec- Nancy is working with Campus Crusade in Columbus, Ohio. She is a friend of Karla Powrie.
9. We also support a group that ministers in Afghanistan. They have had many visits there and have had some success in this very non-Christian country. Their projects have included delivering blankets and wheelchairs.
10. GO ministries- This is a group that does mission work in the Dominican Republic ( and other places too perhaps) See Don Gilmour for more information.
11. Local- we also love to support various local projects as they come up during the year.
